Van Technician / LCV Technician – Full-Time
Location: Bristol
Hours: Monday to Friday | Day Shift | 7:30 AM Start | Approximately 45 Hours per Week
Pay: £19.00 – £23.00 per hour + Optional On-Call Pay + Bonuses
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Van Technician / LCV Mechanic to join our growing team at our brand-new, modern workshop just outside Yate, Bristol. This is a great opportunity to work within a close-knit team of experienced engineers in a well-equipped and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on vans and light commercial vehicles (LCVs)
- Complete MOT preparation and inspections in line with DVSA standards
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic work efficiently
- (If licensed) Carry out road testing, collections, and deliveries
- Take part in an optional on-call rota (additional pay available)
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in vehicle maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Van Technician or LCV Mechanic
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience working on a range of light commercial vehicles
- Class 2 or Class 1 licence, or willingness to obtain (training can be provided)
