Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to work alongside our kitchen manager in a canteen environment serving quality food to our contractors onsite.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and cooking skills cooking traditional british dishes and serving breakfast,
Have i great understanding for food safety and quality.
This role offers an opportunity to oversee food preparation and create ideas, manage kitchen operations along side our head chef and catering staff, and inspire a team dedicated to excellence in hospitality.
The successful applicant will be responsible for creating traditional menu's aswel as supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring all dishes meet high standards and great taste.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Develop and design creative menus with our chefs.
- Oversee all aspects of food production, including cooking, plating from an service counter.
- Maintain and adherence to food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
- Ensure consistent quality of dishes served while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to optimise workflow and minimise waste
Experience
- Proven experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation
- Experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and best practices in kitchen hygeiene.
