About SAFECROWDS GROUP
SAFECROWDS GROUP is looking for experienced, professional and reliable Match Day Supervisors to support our Zone Ex operations at football stadiums across London.
This is a hands-on supervisory role, responsible for supporting the safe, compliant and effective deployment of security, traffic marshall and event staff on match days.
You will work closely with the Match Day Manager and act as an important link between operational management and frontline staff, helping to ensure that staff are correctly deployed, briefed, compliant and performing to the required standards.
The Role
As a Match Day Supervisor, you will support the Match Day Manager with the operational delivery of SAFECROWDS GROUP Zone Ex activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Attending client safety and operational briefings as required.
- Assisting with and delivering staff briefings prior to deployment.
- Supporting the deployment and positioning of staff across designated zones.
- Supervising frontline staff throughout the event.
- Ensuring staff understand and follow operational instructions.
- Overseeing and assisting with the sign-in and sign-out process for deployed personnel.
- Checking staff attendance and reporting any shortages or non-attendance to the Match Day Manager.
- Conducting uniform, presentation and equipment checks.
- Checking SIA licences and other relevant credentials where required.
- Ensuring staff remain compliant with company, client and venue requirements.
- Monitoring staff performance, conduct and professionalism throughout the match day.
- Supporting the Match Day Manager with the management of operational issues and incidents.
- Escalating incidents and concerns promptly to the Match Day Manager.
- Assisting with the completion of incident reports and operational documentation.
- Liaising professionally with frontline staff, venue representatives and other operational stakeholders.
- Supporting communication between SAFECROWDS GROUP management and deployed staff.
- Responding appropriately to changing operational requirements.
- Supporting the safe and efficient running of match-day operations from staff arrival through to stand-down.
- Ensuring company policies, client instructions and venue procedures are followed at all times.
- Providing feedback to the Match Day Manager on staff performance, incidents and operational concerns.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A valid SIA Front Line licence either DS or CP – essential.
- Previous experience in a security, traffic, event, stadium or match-day environment.
- Previous supervisory experience is required
- Strong communication and people-management skills.
- The confidence to brief and supervise frontline staff.
- The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy and challenging environment.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly around staff attendance, compliance and deployment.
- The ability to identify issues and escalate them appropriately.
- A professional approach when dealing with clients, football clubs, venue representatives, police, councils and other stakeholders.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider operational management team.
- A good understanding of security, traffic management, crowd management and event compliance procedures.
- A full UK driving licence would be desirable, as the role may involve travelling between different London venues and operational locations.
PAYE Employment – No Self-Employed / LTD Applications
This position is offered on a PAYE basis only.
The role includes:
- £18.00 per hour
- Holiday pay
- Pension provision, subject to the applicable eligibility requirements
- PAYE payroll and deductions handled by SAFECROWDS GROUP

Availability
This role requires flexibility and availability around the football calendar.
You must be able to work:
- Weekend match days
- Midweek evening matches
- Late-night finishes
- Fixtures with varying start and finish times
- Occasional additional operational requirements depending on the event
Match days can be long, busy and demanding, so candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced live football environment.
