As part of the Operations Team, you will be helping to build world class products for the communications (defence, space) industries, within a Lean Manufacturing Environment.
This will involve assembly, inspection and test of micro – components in a clean room environment.
Data analysis of the precision manufactured parts for the development of concepts and prototypes, in addition to determining pass, fail or rework approach.
Development and creation of manufacturing standards and associated documentation.
Engagement in key Product and Process related projects in support of driving a Lean Manufacturing Culture.
This role includes but is not limited to:
Testing products or subassemblies for function or quality
Troubleshooting problems with equipment, devices or products
Managing waste in accordance with policies and transport accordingly to waste collection points
Building product sub-assemblies or final products
Monitoring and adjusting production processes or equipment for quality and productivity
Preparing and assembling materials
Setting up and operating production equipment in accordance with manufacturing practices and standard work procedures
Assist Engineers in developing, building and testing of prototypes, new products, processes or procedures
Calibrating or adjusting equipment to ensure quality production using tools, for example, callipers, micrometres, gauges.
Inspecting finished goods for quality and adherence to company and customer specifications
Managing and keeping up to date production logs and tracking documentation and systems
Maintaining inventory of materials
Packaging finished goods
Participating in planning and scheduling and manage time to meet agreed on time delivery
Developing, preparing and creating production documents. For example, Standard Work Instructions, Batch records, inventory reports, productivity reports
Providing production progress or changeover reports to supervisors.
Setting up and verifying the functionality of safety equipment
Adhering to all applicable regulations, policies and procedures for Health and Safety and Environment compliance
Managing work area to agreed 5S standards
Installing new equipment
Measuring and recording data associated with equipment and processes, product
Providing advice and training to peers
Communicating with peers, Engineers, management team and cross functional departments.
