We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the leadership and operational management of our care home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional care home living , with a focus on dementia and Alzheimer's care. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to lead with compassion, uphold care standards, and foster a positive environment for residents and staff alike.
Duties
- Assist the Home Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Lead and supervise care staff, promoting best practices in senior care, dementia care, and medication administration.
- Support the development and implementation of personalized care plans that address residents' specific needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia-related conditions.
- Monitor quality of care delivery, ensuring high standards are maintained consistently.
- Facilitate staff training and development programs to enhance skills in dementia care, medication management, and leadership.
- Manage resident admissions, discharge procedures, and maintain accurate documentation related to care provision.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that promotes dignity and independence for all residents.
Skills
- Proven experience working within care home environments with a focus on senior and dementia care.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in a care home setting.
- Knowledge of care planning processes, medication administration protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, staff, and external professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate approach combined with strong organizational skills to support both residents’ well-being and team development.
- Familiarity with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia-specific caregiving techniques is highly desirable.

Pay: Up to £34,320.00 per year
