This is a full-time Consultant post in Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) and Amyloidosis at the National Amyloidosis Centre (NAC), Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, one of the world's leading centres for the diagnosis, management and research of systemic amyloidosis.
The successful candidate will join the consultant team at the NAC, providing specialist clinical care for patients with all forms of amyloidosis, with a particular focus on transthyretin (ATTR) amyloidosis. The role includes participation in specialist outpatient clinics, multidisciplinary team meetings, and the provision of expert advice to referring physicians nationally and internationally.
The appointee will also play a central role in the Centre's internationally recognised cardiovascular imaging and clinical research programmes. They will contribute to the delivery and interpretation of advanced CMR studies, participate as Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator in multicentre clinical trials, and lead prospective investigator-initiated research in ATTR amyloidosis, supported by existing funding.

Clinical Responsibilities
Provide consultant-level clinical care for patients with all forms of amyloidosis through participation in the full range of National Amyloidosis Centre clinical activities, including specialist outpatient clinics, multidisciplinary meetings and providing expert advice to referring physicians and patients.
To work with other consultants in the centre and provide appropriate clinical cross cover.
Contribute to the delivery and reporting of advanced cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) studies in cardiac amyloidosis, working within one of the UK's leading CMR programmes, and participate in the development and implementation of novel CMR techniques and imaging biomarkers.
Develop specialist expertise in the diagnosis and management of ATTR amyloidosis, including the assessment and longitudinal management of patients receiving disease-modifying therapies.
Other clinical duties will be agreed in consultation with the post holder. There are no on-call commitments as part of the role, but it may be possible for on-call commitments to be arranged if so desired by the post holder.
Act as Investigator for commercial and investigator-initiated clinical trials in ATTR amyloidosis.
