We're recruiting for an experienced Building Surveyor to join a growing team delivering a diverse range of projects across the South. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile schemes across the Defence, Blue Light, Education and Housing sectors, with project values ranging from £10,000 to £3 million.
This role offers plenty of variety, working alongside an established team on both professional and project surveying instructions while supporting the continued growth of the business.
The Role
- Deliver a broad range of building surveying services across multiple projects.
- Undertake surveys, inspections, schedules of condition and other professional instructions.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, feasibility studies and asset reviews.
- Administer projects using standard building contracts, including JCT and NEC.
- Ensure projects comply with current health and safety legislation and statutory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Support and mentor junior members of the team.
- Assist senior management with the successful delivery of regional projects.
About You
- Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a RICS-accredited equivalent.
- Strong background in building surveying with sound technical knowledge.
- Experience working across a range of project and professional services.
- Good understanding of JCT and NEC contracts.
- Commercially aware with experience managing client relationships.
- Confident producing technical reports and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety and statutory compliance.
- Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
- A proactive team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to support and develop others.
