About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Operative to join our growing team based in Ampthill. This is a hands-on role within a busy depot and logistics environment, supporting the daily movement of materials, stock control, and site deliveries across the Midlands and South.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build experience within warehouse operations and logistics. Previous experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing orders accurately for dispatch
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
- Receiving and checking incoming stock
- Organising, moving, and storing materials within the warehouse
- Maintaining accurate stock records using scanners and inventory systems
- Carrying out regular stock checks and inventory control
- Delivering materials to development sites across the Midlands and South
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times
- Operating warehouse equipment including pallet trucks and scanners
What We’re Looking For
- Good level of physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or delivery experience advantageous but not essential
Working Environment
This role is based in a fast-paced warehouse and industrial environment. Appropriate PPE including safety footwear and high-visibility clothing must be worn at all times.
