Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Glass Processing Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our glass processing department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, efficiency, and customer service.
The role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a thorough understanding of glass processing operations, machinery, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the glass processing department.
- Plan and prioritise workloads to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the processing team.
- Ensure all processed glass meets company quality standards and customer specifications.
- Monitor production performance and implement improvements to maximise efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring compliance with all company policies and legislation.
- Coordinate machine maintenance and report any faults to minimise downtime.
- Monitor stock levels of glass, consumables, and processing materials.
- Work closely with Production, Installation, Sales, and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Produce production reports and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist with recruitment, training, and performance management of staff.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the department.
Skills & Experience
- Previous management experience within a glass processing or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of glass processing techniques, including cutting, polishing, toughening, laminating, drilling, CNC processing, and quality inspection.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong planning and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight production deadlines.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.
- Computer literate with experience using production planning systems and Microsoft Office.

Reporting To
Pay: £33,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
