We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Nursery Apprentice to join our team at Bright Start Childcare @ Solway House in Benton. This is an excellent opportunity to begin or progress your career in early years education.
We offer a full induction programme along with ongoing mentoring and support. As part of the role, you will be required to work towards a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare, and you will receive dedicated off-the-job training time each week. Applicants must have GCSEs at grade C/4 or above in English and Maths, or be willing to work towards achieving these.
Key Responsibilities
- Take part in story and song times, small-group activities, and provide support to early years practitioners.
- Assist practitioners with daily care routines for babies and young children.
- Plan, prepare, and run age-appropriate activities for children aged 0–5 years in line with the EYFS.
- Provide high-quality early years education by observing, supporting, and extending children’s learning and development opportunities.
- Build positive partnerships with parents and carers.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team and support Nursery Practitioners as required.
