Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. Responsibilities
- Monitor access points to control entry and exit of authorised personnel and visitors
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to identify potential security threats
- Perform loss prevention duties by deterring theft and ensuring the safety of assets
- Enforce venue policies and procedures in a courteous yet firm manner
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid if necessary
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter undesirable behaviour
- Record detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs of daily activities
- Collaborate with other security personnel and management to uphold safety standards
Skills
- Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is desirable
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
- First aid certification or willingness to undertake training is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform patrols as required
- Discreet, trustworthy, organised, and committed to maintaining confidentiality
