Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Freelance Architect to join our dynamic team on a project basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in architectural design, technical proficiency in various CAD and 3D modelling software, and experience in construction processes. Duties
- Develop detailed architectural designs using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Create accurate 3D visualisations and renderings to communicate design concepts clearly.
- Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including technical drawings and joinery details.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand project requirements and negotiate design modifications as needed.
- Coordinate with contractors and consultants to ensure design feasibility and compliance with building regulations.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
- Utilise project management tools to track progress and update stakeholders regularly.
- Conduct site visits when necessary to oversee construction progress and resolve technical issues promptly.
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and joinery techniques.
- Excellent negotiation skills for liaising with clients and contractors effectively.
- Experience in project management within architectural or construction environments.
- Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and visualisations that meet professional standards.
- Familiarity with CAD standards and best practices for documentation.
- Good understanding of building regulations and compliance requirements.
