Are you looking for a rewarding and meaningful career where you can make a genuine difference every day? FitzRoy is seeking caring and committed Support Workers to join our friendly team in Huntingdon, supporting five adult men with learning disabilities and autism in a supported living service.
This is a hands-on role, providing full support including personal care, and is ideal for someone who is compassionate, patient, and genuinely motivated to support others to live fulfilling lives.
Whether you’re experienced in care or completely new to the sector, we’d love to hear from you. We provide full training, shadowing, and ongoing development to help you feel confident and supported in your role.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will support five men who require full-time, person-centred support, including assistance with personal care, daily routines, and accessing the community. You’ll work as part of a close-knit team to ensure each person feels safe, respected, and empowered.
Your support will include:
- Providing full personal care and support with daily living tasks
- Supporting individuals to maintain routines that meet their physical, emotional, and wellbeing needs
- Encouraging independence and choice in everyday life
- Supporting people to take part in activities they enjoy, such as cooking, walking, music, arts and crafts, or trips out
- Helping individuals achieve personal goals and celebrating progress, no matter how small
- Building positive, trusting relationships and maintaining community connections
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. A caring nature, resilience, and a good sense of humour will go a long way.
Why Join FitzRoy?

- Overtime paid at an additional £2.50 per hour
- Sleep-in shifts paid at £50 per night

- Free Health Cash Plan for you and your family
- Employee Assistance Programme, including 24/7 GP access and mental health support

What We’re Looking For
- A caring, reliable, and respectful approach
- Comfortable providing personal care and hands-on support

- A proactive attitude and commitment to promoting independence
- A manual driving licence (essential for this service)
This isn’t just a job — it’s an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of others every single day.
Disclosure of Criminal Record
Because this post involves regulated activity with adults at risk, it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions Order 1975). You must therefore declare all convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings — including those that would otherwise be considered “spent” — except for those defined as protected under the DBS filtering rules.
Having a criminal record does not automatically prevent employment with FitzRoy. Each case will be considered on its own merits, taking into account the relevance to the role and safeguarding requirements
