Key Responsibilities Personal Care - Assist clients with bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting - - Support mobility, including transfers and use of mobility aids - - Assist with continence care where required Daily Living Support - Help with meal preparation and feeding where necessary - - Support clients with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping - - Assist with medication reminders in line with care plans Emotional and Social Support - Provide companionship and conversation - - Encourage participation in social and community activities - - Support clients in maintaining independence and wellbeing Health & Monitoring - Observe and report changes in clients’ physical or mental health - - Maintain accurate care records and report to supervisors - - Follow individual care plans and risk assessments Safety & Compliance - Follow safeguarding procedures and health & safety policies - - Maintain confidentiality and respect client dignity - - Ensure infection control and hygiene standards are met Skills and Competencies - Compassionate and patient approach - - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively - - Reliable and trustworthy - - Basic literacy and record-keeping skills Qualifications and Requirements - Previous experience in care (preferred but not always required) - - NVQ / Diploma in Health and Social Care (desirable) - - Willingness to complete training such as safeguarding and manual handling - - Enhanced DBS check required - - Right to work in the UK - - Driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required Working Conditions - Work takes place in clients’ homes within the community - - Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays - - Travel between clients may be required
