Rose Care Group is currently recruiting four Day Care Assistants across our care homes in Newton Abbot:
- St Benets Court – College Road
- Wolborough Court – College Road
- Doneraile – College Road
- Southlands – Highweek
These are permanent roles offering approximately 30 hours per week.
Please note that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for these positions.

What You’ll Do
- Deliver personal care and emotional support with dignity and kindness
- Assist residents with mobility, medication and mealtime needs
- Provide companionship and a reassuring presence
- Support residents to maintain their independence wherever possible
- Contribute to a warm, friendly atmosphere for residents, visitors and colleagues
- Work closely with the wider care team to provide consistently high standards of care
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Kind, compassionate and genuinely enjoys helping others
- Reliable, hardworking and a strong team player
- Flexible and able to work a variety of daytime shifts
- Willing to complete a DBS check, which is subsidised by us
- Comfortable working alternate weekends
Previous care experience is welcomed, but it is not essential, as training and support will be provided.
Hours and Shifts
The role is for approximately 30 hours per week and includes alternate weekends.
Day shifts may include:
- 8:00am–2:00pm
- 2:00pm–8:00pm
- 8:00am–8:00pm
