As the company continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Spray Painter to join our team.
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Spray Painter who can confidently prepare and spray kitchen cabinets, doors, panels and other furniture to a consistently high standard.
This is a hands-on role involving both preparation and spraying. You will work on customer projects and will be responsible for ensuring that each job is completed professionally, efficiently and within the agreed timeframe.
The ideal candidate will already have professional spray-painting experience and understand that achieving an excellent finish depends just as much on preparation, attention to detail and cleanliness as it does on spraying.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare kitchen cabinets, doors, panels and furniture for spraying.
- Clean, degrease, sand, fill and repair surfaces where required.
- Mask and protect surrounding areas before spraying.
- Prepare and mix coatings correctly according to product specifications.
- Apply primers, paints and coatings using professional spray equipment.
- Produce a smooth, even and durable factory-like finish.
- Identify and correct imperfections before completing a job.
- Maintain consistent quality across doors, cabinets, panels and other sprayed surfaces.
- Inspect completed work before customer handover.
- Keep the customer’s property clean, organised and properly protected throughout the project.
- Use and maintain spray equipment, tools and company property correctly.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE and spraying equipment.
- Complete projects within agreed schedules while maintaining DT Sprays’ quality standards.
- Communicate professionally with customers and other members of the team.
- Report problems, damage or unexpected issues promptly rather than allowing them to affect the finished project.
- Return to rectify workmanship issues where necessary.
Person Specification
Essential
- Previous professional spray-painting experience.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation and spray-finishing techniques.
- Experience using professional spray equipment.
- Ability to achieve a consistently smooth, high-quality finish.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to identify defects and correct them before completing a job.
- Reliable, punctual and able to manage time effectively.
- Able to work independently and take responsibility for the quality of your own work.
- Comfortable working in customers’ homes and maintaining professional behaviour.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
- Able to work effectively as part of a small team.
- Willing to travel to customer locations across our service area.
Desirable
- Experience spraying kitchen cabinets or fitted furniture.
- Experience with professional furniture or joinery coatings.
- Experience with airless, air-assisted or HVLP spray systems.
- Experience working in kitchen renovation, furniture refinishing, joinery or a similar trade.
- Full UK driving licence.
What We Are Looking For
We are particularly interested in someone who takes pride in their workmanship.
Speed matters, but quality comes first. We want someone who notices small imperfections, prepares surfaces properly and does not consider a job finished until the final result meets the required standard.
You should be comfortable taking responsibility for your own projects while also working closely with the wider DT Sprays team.

Salary:
- 30,000 - 45,000 per year (depending on experience)
