We are excited to offer the position of Lecturer in Veterinary Pathology to join a team of six specialist pathologists in the Department of Veterinary Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology at the University of Liverpool. You will be based across the Leahurst and Liverpool campuses, contributing to veterinary pathology, microscopic anatomy, and related preclinical teaching. You will support BVSc and Bioveterinary Science teaching through lectures, practicals, tutorials, assessment, and student supervision. You will also contribute to the diagnostic pathology service, including biopsy, post-mortem, immunohistochemistry, and forensic pathology work. You will develop a research or scholarship profile aligned with veterinary pathology, morphology, digital pathology, AI, or 3D modelling.
The Department is an ECVP, ACVP and ECVM-approved training centre with strong links to clinical services, Chester Zoo, the RSPCA, and police stakeholders.
Applicants should hold an EU/AVMA-accredited veterinary degree. Hold MRCVS registration at the employment start date, and have completed, or be close to completing, ECVP/ACVP residency training or equivalent.
The post is permanent and the preferred start date is Autumn 2026.
