Sales Advisor – Summer Retail Role (Crochet & Gift Products)
Location: Festival Place, Basingstoke
Role Type: Self-Employed
Dates: 13th July 2026 – 30th August 2026
Hours: Flexible shifts available, including weekends
We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Sales Advisor to join a small independent retail business trading at Festival Place, Basingstoke over the summer holidays.
This role would suit a student, recent school or college leaver, or anyone who enjoys meeting people and selling unique products in a busy shopping centre environment.
You will be representing a trader selling handmade crochet products, keyrings, gifts and accessories from a pop-up stall within the shopping centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up and merchandising a 1m x 1m retail stall each day
- Displaying products in line with trader guidelines
- Greeting customers and promoting products confidently
- Processing cash and card payments
- Maintaining a tidy and attractive display throughout the day
- Managing stock levels and informing the trader of any low stock
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
- Packing away stock at the end of the day
- Locking and securing the stall and storage area before leaving
- Following shopping centre rules and health & safety procedures

Previous Experience
Previous retail, sales, customer service, market stall or hospitality experience would be beneficial but is not essential. Full training will be provided.

Location Requirement
Applicants should live in or around Basingstoke and be able to travel to Festival Place independently.
