Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook and a Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food service.
As Cook you will prepare and cook food, to a high standard of presentation for catering assistants to serve to customers.
As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers feel welcomed, and service runs smoothly.
These positions is perfect for individuals who take pride in their work, and enjoy customer contact, learning about bee keeping, learning new skills.
Duties
The Cook will undertake preparing and cooking food to a set menu, or, as a catering assistant, taking customer orders, preparing and serving food and drinks. operating a cash register. Both roles will be required to maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen and cafe. Restocking supplies and monitoring stock levels
Assistants also handle food preparation, learning to operate coffee machines, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of food items for catering events, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly and professional manner, maintaining high standards of guest service.
- Set up and dismantle catering equipment, including tables, chairs, and serving stations, according to event specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas during events, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food items and address any guest inquiries or requests promptly.
- Support the team during busy periods, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to assist wherever needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or catering roles is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of food preparation and serving techniques.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is essential to ensure the highest standards are met.
- Experience in restaurant or hotel environments will be advantageous, as will any culinary training or guest services experience.
