Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver stimulating activities that promote early childhood development across social, emotional, physical, and cognitive areas
- Foster a warm, inclusive atmosphere that encourages children’s independence and confidence
- Supervise and support children during playtime, learning sessions, meal times, and outdoor activities
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children’s progress, needs, and achievements
- Lead small groups of children with confidence, demonstrating strong management skills
- Support the professional development of junior staff or trainees within the setting
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in a home childcare or nursery setting
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
- A genuine love of outdoor learning
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing or supervising staff or volunteers
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent are highly desirable
- Ability to work flexibly across different shifts to meet the needs of the setting

Pay: £25,420.00-£35,000.00 per year
