Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our busy countryside pub. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in management within a busy food led, countryside pub. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape a new direction of our business, as our manager of 8 years goes onto new pastures (who will be very sadly missed)
We are looking for someone to optimise team performance, and ensure exceptional customer service, working alongside our other General Manger.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing staff, exceptional food service, be hands on, running events, managing emails, customer enquiries and all adhoc duties from day to day restaurant and pub life, alongside service.
Duties
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a diverse team to achieve great service for our customers
- Oversee daily operations, including stock management, end of day banking, opening and closing the venue.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Organise promotional activities and optimise POS displays to maximise sales opportunities.
- Social Media Content
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints with professionalism via phone or in person.
- Customer Enquiries and Bookings for restaurant, pub & events
- Working closely with the owner for site maintenance, H&S, EHO, Staff training, Reporting.
Experience
- Extensive restaurant and pub management experience in a busy setting
- A detailed focus on team management and leadership.
- Strong organisational skills and experience leading busy food led venues.
- Proficiency in time management to oversee multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Familiarity with organisational tools such as POS systems, scheduling software, and reporting tools.

Pay: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
