A brand new role in our setting!
We are looking for a nursery administrator who has an understanding of the Early Years and can help a leadership team with roles such as keeping accurate records, editing forms, following processes with accuracy, aid with safer recruitment and health and safety and can use online systems such as microsoft outlook/365, canva etc.
This is an all year round part-time post with the working hours of 9am and 3pm, between 3 and 4 days week.
This is an ideal role for someone who has experience in Early Years and is now looking for a slightly different path.
Duties
- Working closely with the leadership team to ensure the smooth running of the business.
- Managing all administrative functions including data entry, filing, and record keeping to ensure accurate documentation of nursery activities.
- Handling phone enquiries with professionalism and courtesy, providing information to parents and external contacts as needed.
- Utilising Microsoft Office programmes such as Word, Excel, and Google Workspace to prepare reports, correspondence, and other documentation.
- Managing invoicing and expense tracking.
- Assisting with enrolment and safer recruitment procedures, maintaining child records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supporting the nursery team with clerical tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and mail distribution.
- Ensuring the office area remains tidy and welcoming for meetings which may be being held.
Requirements
- Proven office experience with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar), and data entry systems.
- Previous administrative experience within a childcare or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Strong typing skills to facilitate efficient document preparation and data management.
- Knowledge of nursery management systems is advantageous.
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Organised approach with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
