Role Purpose
The Field Care Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality domiciliary care services. The successful candidate will support care staff in the community, conduct assessments and spot checks, monitor service quality, and help ensure compliance with CQC standards and company policies.
This role is ideal for an experienced Field Care Supervisor or an ambitious Senior Carer looking to take the next step in their career with the support of a growing and supportive care provider.
The role combines hands-on supervision, quality assurance, client relationship management, and staff support to maintain excellent standards of care.
Key Responsibilities Service User Support
- Conduct initial assessments and regular reviews of care packages.
- Develop and update person-centred care plans and risk assessments.
- Ensure service users receive safe, effective, compassionate, and responsive care.
- Carry out welfare checks and respond promptly to concerns or incidents.
- Build positive relationships with service users and their families.
- Support service users with changing care needs.
Staff Supervision & Support
- Supervise and support care workers in the community.
- Conduct spot checks, competency assessments, and observational supervisions.
- Mentor and coach staff to promote best practice and professional development.
- Support the induction of new care staff.
- Monitor staff performance and report concerns appropriately.
- Promote high standards of professionalism, conduct, and attendance.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure care delivery complies with CQC regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care documentation.
- Participate in audits, investigations, and quality assurance activities.
- Report safeguarding concerns, incidents, accidents, or complaints promptly.
- Support medication audits and monitoring where required.
- Ensure confidentiality and GDPR standards are maintained.
Operational Duties
- Assist with rota coverage and emergency care support when required.
- Participate in the on-call rota as needed.
- Liaise effectively with healthcare professionals, social workers, and external agencies.
- Support recruitment activities, including interviews and references where appropriate.
- Attend team meetings, training, and supervision sessions.
Person Specification Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in domiciliary care or community care.
- Experience as a Senior Carer, Team Leader, or Field Care Supervisor.
- A passion for delivering high-quality care and supporting others.
- Confidence supporting and guiding care staff in the community.
- Strong understanding of person-centred care principles.
- Good knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Competent IT skills and experience using care management systems.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Requirements
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (minimum).
- Working towards or holding Level 5 qualification.
- Experience conducting assessments and care reviews.
- Experience in medication management and auditing.
- Knowledge of electronic care planning systems.

Working Conditions
