Seeking an innovative and forward-thinking Head of Data & Analytics to lead the development of a modern intelligence capability that will transform how the organisation uses data to improve operational performance, patient experience and strategic decision-making.
This newly created role will be responsible for establishing a single, trusted source of information across the organisation, replacing fragmented and manually intensive reporting processes with automated, real-time insight. The successful candidate will lead the development of a data-driven culture, ensuring that leaders and managers have access to accurate, meaningful intelligence that enables them to focus on service delivery, workforce development and continuous improvement rather than manual data collection and validation.
The role will sit at the heart of the organisation's transformation journey, leading the adoption of Microsoft data platforms, artificial intelligence, automation and advanced analytics to unlock efficiencies, improve decision making and enhance patient outcomes. The post holder will work closely with workforce planning, operational change and technology teams to ensure data becomes a strategic asset capable of driving measurable organisational value.
Whilst candidates from any sector will be considered, experience within healthcare, urgent care, NHS services, clinical systems, contact center environments or highly regulated sectors would be advantageous.
Data, Analytics & AI Strategy: Lead the organisation’s data, analytics and AI strategy, delivering a roadmap that enhances data maturity, self-service reporting, advanced analytics and AI adoption to improve clinical, operational and financial outcomes.
Business Intelligence, Insight & Performance: Deliver accurate, automated reporting, dashboards and performance frameworks that provide actionable insight, support decision-making, enable forecasting and drive continuous service improvement.
Data Governance & Quality: Establish robust governance frameworks that ensure data quality, integrity, compliance and effective stewardship across systems, reporting and analytical processes.
Data Platforms & Technology: Oversee the development of secure, scalable data architecture and analytical platforms, enabling system integration, innovation and the adoption of emerging technologies.
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence: Act as the senior data and analytics advisor, building strong relationships across clinical, operational and corporate teams, translating complex insights into clear business recommendations and representing the organisation externally.
Leadership & Team Development: Lead and develop a high-performing Data & Analytics function, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and professional growth while effectively managing resources, budgets and supplier relationships.
Degree or equivalent professional experience in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline.
Significant experience leading Data, Analytics and BI functions, developing strategy and driving organisational change.
Proven delivery of executive reporting, performance frameworks and actionable insights.
Strong leadership of multidisciplinary teams and people development.
Expertise in stakeholder management and communicating complex data to non-technical audiences.
Experience implementing data governance and quality frameworks.
Advanced knowledge of Power BI, SQL, data architecture, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Power Platform and Copilot, supported by relevant qualifications or equivalent experience.
