Tigerlily First Aid Training is looking for an exceptional Head of Training & Compliance to lead our training delivery, trainer network, recruitment, quality assurance and compliance functions.
This is a senior leadership role with significant responsibility and visibility across the business. You'll be responsible for ensuring every course we sell is delivered by a capable, qualified trainer, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance and customer experience.
We are looking for someone who combines strong operational leadership with excellent planning, people management and recruitment skills. You'll be proactive, commercially aware and able to anticipate challenges before they arise.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Leading the Training & Compliance function and managing a high-performing team.
- Ensuring all booked courses are covered by suitably qualified trainers.
- Forecasting trainer demand and building a robust recruitment pipeline to support business growth.
- Recruiting, onboarding and developing trainers across the UK.
- Managing trainer utilisation, coverage planning and workforce capacity.
- Maintaining compliance with awarding body requirements, HSE, RCUK and EYFS frameworks.
- Driving quality assurance, trainer observations, standardisation and CPD activity.
- Monitoring and reporting on recruitment, trainer network performance and operational KPIs.
- Providing regular management information and insights to the senior leadership team.
- Coaching and developing direct reports, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Acting as the senior escalation point for training delivery issues, including out-of-hours support where required.
- Working closely with Commercial and Operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient delivery.
About You
You will be an experienced leader with a background in training, compliance, operations, workforce planning or learning and development.
You'll bring:
- Experience managing teams and driving performance through KPIs.
- Strong recruitment and workforce planning experience.
- Experience managing a dispersed, freelance or associate workforce.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and compliance processes.
- Confidence analysing data and producing meaningful management reports.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly.
- A hands-on approach and willingness to lead from the front.

This role is based full-time at our Hurstpierpoint office and requires a visible, hands-on leadership presence. Flexibility to support operational issues outside standard office hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, is required.

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
