Our Production teams play a key role in ensuring our raw materials are processed and packaged correctly and efficiently to create our finished products for distribution.
The Manufacturing Manager role (based at our Ditton (Widnes) site)) is responsible for overseeing the production plants which deliver over 100 products predominantly into the Consumer Care market, upholding standards in SHE, Quality and Manufacturing excellence. To achieve this, key responsibilities include:

Ensuring the production teams comply with the site Safety, Health and Environmental and Quality standards
- Ensure the appropriate levels of resource are present to execute the production schedules across the plant areas and report any significant issues to the Operations Manager

Optimising the overall manufacturing performance of the assets in conjunction with Plant Managers and demonstrating Continuous Improvement through, for example:
-
Monitoring and reacting to manufacturing variances
- Utilising key indicators such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Right First Time rate, throughput and batch yield
- Improving stock control onsite

System and/or procedural improvements
- Develop justifications for short - medium term capital projects
- Co-ordinating different teams supporting Operations, towards the same goals / objectives

Ensure root cause investigations conducted tackle underlying issues and that corrective/preventative actions put in place are followed through
Our people are key to successful product manufacture, as such in this role you will be responsible for the direct management of the shift teams. Providing clear instructions, regular performance reviews (through the use of the objectives/appraisal system) and timely communications are important in addition to demonstrating leadership. In this role you will report into the site Operations Manager and deputise as required, so will be visible in promoting the Operations strategy set out for the site to the production teams.

Degree (or equivalent experience) in relevant technical discipline (for example chemistry, engineering) with minimum 8 years experience in manufacturing operations
