Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle various driving and warehouse tasks as needed.
Monday, Wednesday & Friday 08:00 - 14:00.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
- Navigate efficiently to delivery locations using maps or GPS systems.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and receipts.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met.
Skills
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential.
- Valid Full driver’s licence with a clean driving record is required.
- Experience in commercial driving is advantageous.
- Proficient driving skills with the ability to operate various types of vehicles.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
- Capability for heavy lifting, as some deliveries may involve bulky or heavy items.
