Overview
GMC Resin Ltd is a growing specialist contractor delivering high-quality resin-bound surfacing and groundwork solutions across Scotland. We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Groundworker to join our team and support a range of commercial and residential projects.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience working on construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general groundwork duties including excavation, drainage, concreting, kerbing, and sub-base preparation
- Assisting with resin-bound surfacing preparation works
- Operating basic plant and tools safely (e.g. breakers, compactors, mixers)
- Laying foundations, edging, and associated groundworks
- Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety regulations
- Working effectively as part of a team and following site instructions
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
- Access to own transport
- Proven experience as a Groundworker or similar role
- CSCS card (essential)
- Knowledge of groundwork techniques and materials
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good understanding of health & safety on construction sites
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable, punctual, and physically fit
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience with resin-bound surfacing or decorative finishes
- Dumper / Roller tickets
- First Aid or additional plant certifications
