Job Description:
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to support vulnerable adults in their own homes in Basildon area.
About the Role
As a Care Assistant, you will provide person-centred care and support to adults with a range of needs, including:
- Physical disabilities
- Dementia
- Mental health conditions
- Learning disabilities
- Age-related conditions
- Complex care needs
You will support individuals to remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
- Supporting with mobility and safe moving and handling.
- Medication prompting and administration.
- Preparing meals and supporting nutrition and hydration.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Assisting with shopping and domestic tasks.
- Promoting independence, dignity, choice, and wellbeing.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in health or wellbeing.
- Completing accurate care records and documentation.
- Following safeguarding and company policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 6 months' experience in a care setting.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Mandatory training certificates, including:
- Safeguarding Adults
- Moving and Handling
- Medication Administration
- Basic Life Support
- Infection Prevention and Control
- Health and Safety
- Excellent communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable approach to care.
- Right to work in the UK.

Pay: £12.71-£12.80 per hour
