ADHD Care Ltd is an established independent specialist neurodevelopmental service providing gold-standard ADHD assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adults and young people across the UK.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist / Independent Non-Medical Prescriber (V300) to join our friendly multidisciplinary team, working predominantly with adults aged 18 years and above.
This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician with a passion for ADHD and neurodevelopmental disorders to play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic and treatment services within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.
About the Role
You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive ADHD assessments, formulating diagnoses, initiating and managing pharmacological treatment, and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey.
The role combines remote working with occasional face-to-face clinics at our Guildford clinic and offers excellent flexibility for clinicians seeking a rewarding specialist role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive adult ADHD diagnostic assessments using evidence-based clinical interviews and validated assessment tools.
- Formulate diagnostic opinions and provide clear feedback to patients.
- Initiate, titrate and monitor ADHD medication in line with NICE guidance and best practice.
- Undertake medication reviews and ongoing treatment monitoring.
- Liaise with GPs regarding shared care arrangements and ongoing prescribing.
- Assess physical health parameters relevant to ADHD treatment.
- Deliver psychoeducation and post-diagnostic support.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including specialist nurses, psychologists and administrative staff.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and reports using electronic patient record systems.
- Participate in clinical governance, supervision and continuous professional development activities.
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Independent Non-Medical Prescriber qualification (V300).
- Minimum 2 years' experience working within ADHD services.
- Experience conducting ADHD assessments in adults.
- Experience initiating and managing ADHD medication treatment.
- Excellent understanding of NICE ADHD guidelines and prescribing frameworks.
- Strong clinical assessment, risk management and report-writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable
- Experience working in private ADHD services.
- Experience undertaking Autism Spectrum Disorder assessments.
- Experience working across both adult and child ADHD services.
- Experience with shared-care protocols and collaborative working with primary care.
