At Lanark Close Short Breaks Service, we support adults with learning disabilities living in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees. Every day, our team helps people develop confidence, build independence and enjoy life to the fullest.
Were now looking for a caring and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our friendly team.
What youll be doing
As a Support Worker, youll play a vital role in supporting individuals to achieve their goals and maintain their independence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting with personal care in a dignified and respectful manner
- Encouraging and developing daily living skills
- Promoting independence, confidence and wellbeing
- Supporting social activities, hobbies and community involvement
- Building positive relationships and providing person-centred support

What were looking for
Ideally, youll have:
- Professional knowledge and experience of working in a care or caring setting and / or NVQ Level 2 in Adult Social Care or equivalent (desirable)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Empathy, patience and a positive attitude
- A passion for supporting others to achieve their potential
- A commitment to delivering high-quality care and support
Enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role.

Working Pattern
This role is part time,18 hour per week over 3 days including 2 out of 3 weekends and various shifts.
