To lead onsite operations to deliver business targets for Safety, Quality and Delivery while achieving budget
goals for Revenue and Cost.
To deliver a rapid increase in output to late customer orders and improve lead times.
To build and lead a dynamic and high-performing production team

Essential Job Functions
HSE Ownership: Own and maintain Health and Safety (HSE) for the Operations team.
Team Leadership: Hire, manage, lead, and develop the operations team, consisting of a operational Team Lead(s), Project / Order Management, Production Planning and Manufacturing Engineering.
Development: Provide clear objectives and personal development plans to support your team's growth.
Production Planning: Plan the team's workload, guiding them to achieve daily production targets.
KPI Accountability: Responsible for achieving operational KPIs, including On-Time Delivery (OTD), Out-of Box Defects (OOB), Past Due Backlog (PDBL), Over Time, Scrap, and Rework.
Financial Planning: Plan and forecast Revenue for Instruments and Spares. Responsible for managing operations costs.
Inventory Management: In collaboration with our Telford supply chain team, manage inventory levels, ensuring no stock-outs and adhering to working capital targets.
Quality: Own and maintain test and product quality, test, and calibration processes to ensure product quality and performance.
Cross-Functional Liaison: Collaborate closely with other core functions at the Telford site, particularly Souring, Distribution, Engineering, Service, HR, and Finance.
Quality Support: Work alongside the Telford Quality Manager to improve quality, support Internal and External Audits, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and Quarantined stock.
Issue Resolution: Own and drive actions related to the daily customer delivery and quality issues
Customer Support: Support the Customer Services (CX) and Service teams with any operational issues.
Creation and achievement of a late order plan.
Achievement of Monthly/Annual Budget Targets for Operations (Revenue & Costs).
Achievement of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Targets (e.g., OTD, OOB/Warranty Cost).
Achievement of HSE Targets.
Effective control and reduction of Past Due Backlog (PDBL).
Qualifications / Skills / Experience
Demonstrate experience managing manufacturing operations within a technical environment, ideally in an engineered to order, low volume, high mix electronic assembly and test environment.
Proven experience managing a multi-skilled technical team within a cross-functional structure.
Solid experience in Health and Safety leadership.
Specialised knowledge of manufacturing electro/mechanical instruments or similarly complex technical products.
A Bachelors Degree or HNC in Electronic/Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent operational level.
Ability to work on own initiative, working within a team and the ability to meet deadlines.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment where processes may be evolving; able to exercise sound judgement, think proactively, and respond quickly to changing priorities.
Excellent organisation skills with the ability to multi-task.
