Job title: Kitchen Porter — Greek-Cypriot Restaurant, Maida Vale
Location: Tsiakkos & Charcoal, 5 Marylands Road, London W9
Pay: £13.00 per hour + tronc (fair share of tips paid through our tronc scheme)
Job type: Full-time / Part-time considered, evenings and weekends required
About us
Tsiakkos & Charcoal is a family-run Greek-Cypriot restaurant that's been serving Maida Vale for around 30 years. We cook over live charcoal, we're busy most nights, and we run a tight, friendly kitchen. We're looking for a reliable Kitchen Porter to join the team.
The role
- Washing up and keeping the pot wash area running smoothly during service
- Keeping the kitchen, floors, and storage areas clean and organised
- Helping with deliveries — unpacking, rotating, and storing stock correctly
- Basic food prep support when needed (peeling, chopping, portioning)
- Taking out rubbish and recycling, keeping bin areas tidy
- Supporting the chefs so service runs without a hitch
What we're looking for
- Reliable and punctual — this is the most important thing
- Able to work evenings and weekends
- Comfortable on your feet in a busy kitchen
- A team player with a good attitude — we're a small team and everyone mucks in
- Experience helps but isn't essential — we'll train the right person
- Right to work in the UK
