We are a leading plastic injection moulding manufacturer supplying high-quality products to customers across a range of industries, including automotive, medical, consumer goods, and industrial markets. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Site Quality Manager to lead our quality function and drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations.
The Role
As Site Quality Manager, you will be responsible for leading all quality activities across the site, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and ISO requirements while supporting operational excellence. You will work closely with production, engineering, tooling, and commercial teams to deliver world-class quality standards and enhance customer satisfaction.
This is a key leadership role within the business, offering the opportunity to influence strategy, improve processes, and develop a strong quality culture throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the site's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with IATF 16949 & ISO 9001 as well as Customer sepcific requirements.
- Lead customer, supplier, and certification audits, ensuring successful outcomes and timely closure of actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using root cause analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Manage customer complaints, warranty issues, and non-conformances, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee quality control processes throughout the injection moulding manufacturing cycle.
- Ensure compliance with PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and other quality tools where applicable.
- Develop and monitor key quality KPIs, reporting performance to senior management.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve process capability, reduce scrap, and minimise defects.
- Manage supplier quality performance and support supplier development activities.
- Lead, coach, and develop the site quality team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Support new product introductions, process validations, and customer approvals.
- Promote a proactive culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across the site.
Candidate Requirements Essential
- Proven experience in a Quality Management role within a plastic injection moulding manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of injection moulding processes, quality control techniques, and manufacturing best practices.
- Experience managing IATF 16949 quality systems.
- Demonstrable experience leading customer and certification audits.
- Strong knowledge of quality problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and implement effective improvements.
Desirable
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive quality standards.
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma qualifications.
- Internal or Lead Auditor qualification.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related discipline.

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
