Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Gardener/Handyman/woman to maintain and enhance outdoor spaces. This role involves a combination of gardening, landscape maintenance, and general handyman tasks to ensure the property's grounds are well-kept, functional, and visually appealing. The ideal candidate will have experience with horticulture and a variety of tools, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to outdoor upkeep.
Duties
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to carry out gardening and landscaping tasks effectively
- Maintain lawns, flower beds, shrubs, and trees through pruning, planting, weeding, and fertilising
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
- Perform general handyman duties such as fixing fences, gates, or outdoor fixtures
- Assist with landscape design projects and implement planting schemes
- Clear debris, leaves, and other waste from outdoor areas to keep grounds tidy
- Monitor plant health and identify pest or disease issues promptly
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order and stored safely after use
Requirements
- Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems
- Growing experience or knowledge of plant care is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Physical fitness to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions
- A valid driver’s licence is preferred for transportation of equipment or materials
