A significant responsibility will be developing a vibrant and inclusive ministry for teenagers, young people and young adults.
The successful candidate will:
- Develop youth Bible studies, discipleship, prayer and fellowship programmes.
- Mentor young people and help them develop Christian faith, character, leadership skills and purpose.
- Identify and develop emerging youth leaders.
- Encourage young people to participate in worship, evangelism, outreach, music, media and other Church activities.
- Work appropriately with parents and guardians to support young people's spiritual development.
- Develop programmes addressing issues relevant to young people, including relationships, identity, education, family life and social pressures.
- Build appropriate relationships with youth and community organisations.
- Ensure youth activities comply with Church safeguarding policies.
Experience leading a teenage, youth or young-adult ministry is highly desirable.
Essential Requirements
Applicants should demonstrate:
- A genuine Christian calling to ministry.
- Significant experience in Christian ministry, pastoral work or church leadership.
- Experience preaching and teaching the Bible.
- Sound knowledge of Christian doctrine and Scripture.
- Experience in pastoral care, evangelism and Christian outreach.
- Experience working with teenagers, young people or young adults.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Church leaders, volunteers and ministry teams.
- Ability to engage respectfully with people from different cultural and social backgrounds.
- Commitment to Christian discipleship, community engagement and safeguarding.
Desirable
- Recognised theological, biblical studies or ministerial qualification.
- Previous experience as a Pastor, Minister, Youth Pastor, Evangelist or similar ministry role.
- Experience developing youth or young-adult ministry.
- Community liaison or partnership-working experience.
- Experience working with multicultural or African communities.
- Knowledge of an African language. Preferably any of the main Nigerian languages
- Experience mentoring young Christian leaders or working in family ministry.

Pay: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
