About Us
Woodlands Meed is a foundation special school with a wide range of learning difficulties and complex special needs, including Autistic Spectrum Conditions and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. We are also a Specialist School for Communication and Interaction. Interested applicants need to have experience or a keen interest in meeting the needs of learners with a wide range of special needs and the ability to contribute positively to a team of class staff.
A full training programme will form part of your induction and a comprehensive INSET training package will equip you to meet the needs of our learners.
We also offer all staff access to a bespoke employee wellbeing programme.

Pupil Support Assistants
Salary: NJC Grade 3/SCP 3-4 £11,547pa pro-rata
Contract Type: Permanent Term Time only
Working Pattern: 20 hrs per week, Monday-Friday 10.00-2.00
We would also consider additional hours for the right candidate able to support pupil physical therapy sessions and hydro therapy sessions or with relevant medical experience.
Pupil support assistants are required to work in the dining hall and playground over the lunch period. We also like our PSA staff to work with pupils in the classrooms before and after lunch.

What You Need to Succeed
No experience is necessary as full training will be given but a willingness to learn and demonstration of adaptability is essential in this pupil centred role. The successful candidates will support pupils with therapies to include hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and rebound therapy thus moving and handling will be a feature as will intimate care of pupils.
