Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems or manual methods
- Serve drinks and meals promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Ensure food safety standards are followed at all times, including proper handling and storage of food and beverages
- Manage multiple tables efficiently by prioritizing tasks with excellent time management skills
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas to ensure a welcoming environment
- Assist in setting up the bar area before service and closing down at the end of shifts
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change
- Engage with customers professionally, addressing any questions or concerns promptly and courteously
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is advantageous
- Familiarity with serving techniques, including alcohol service, is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Basic math skills for handling payments accurately
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude
