Job Summary
At Wylie’s Coffee, we are a small team of baristas with one goal - to create a friendly and welcoming neighbourhood coffee shop that invites our customers to slow down and take five minutes out of their day, accompanied by a really great coffee. We are looking for an experienced barista to join our Southfields team.
The role includes:
*Preparing espresso and pour over coffees with excellent free pour latte art
*Dialling in new coffees (espresso and filter)
*Ensuring perfect espresso extraction for each drink
*Serving customers and operating the till, providing excellent service answering any menu questions and making recommendations
*Ensuring service is seamless and of the Wylie’s standard
*Opening and closing the shop following procedures and ensuring they are executed correctly
*Ensuring site is health and safety and food safety compliant
*Managing stock
We would love you to:
*Be passionate about hospitality and the coffee industry
*Have at least 1 year experience working as a barista in the speciality coffee industry
*Be upbeat and able to integrate with the team to deliver exceptional service at all times
*Be intuitive, quick to think on your feet, and able to keep a level head during busy and challenging times
*Be able to charm the locals
*Be eager to becoming an expert in all things coffee
The coffee shop is open 7 days a week and our opening hours are 7am-4pm Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm Sat & Sun.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.80-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 43.0 per week
