Ali's Academy is looking for enthusiastic and academically capable Weekend Tutors to join our Oxford learning centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young learners and want to gain valuable classroom experience within a structured education environment.
We welcome applications from experienced tutors, university students, graduates, and aspiring teachers who are passionate about helping students improve their confidence and achieve their academic goals.
About the Role
As a Weekend Tutor, you will support students through planned learning activities and provide guidance to help them develop their understanding across key subjects.
You will work with small groups of students preparing for 11 Plus, SATs, GCSE, and A Level examinations, helping them build strong foundations and effective learning habits.
All lesson resources and academic materials are provided, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging support and creating a positive learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured small group tuition sessions
- Support students with Maths, English, Science, or other relevant subjects
- Explain concepts clearly and help students overcome learning challenges
- Encourage student participation and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere
- Monitor student engagement and provide academic guidance where required
- Complete attendance records and follow centre procedures
- Work closely with the Centre Manager and wider Ali's Academy team
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking candidates who:
- Have strong academic knowledge in Maths, English, or Science
- Communicate confidently and professionally
- Are reliable, punctual, and well organised
- Enjoy working with children and young people
- Can motivate and encourage students during learning sessions
- Have the right to work in the UK
Previous tutoring or teaching experience is desirable but not essential. Full training, guidance, and support will be provided.
