To provide support to the project delivery team in the planning and coordination of projects and programme activities. Support will be across a large portfolio of projects and include planning of project activities, resource, and helping the team to mitigate risk to deliver projects on time. The right candidate will have experience of full project lifecycles, from Tender through to completion. An understanding of Systems integration and the Energy industry would be beneficial.
Role Description
Working closely with Project Managers, Commercial, and Engineers to build, maintain and analyse project schedules and resource allocation in P6 and Microsoft Project across the portfolio
Provide support with the project delivery teams to produce programme updates, including the ability to assess commercial impact for variations, and produce Tender programmes alongside the Bid teams.
Monthly reporting of performance to key stakeholders and the client, utilising strong planning principles such as critical path, variance comparisons, and terminal float analysis to drive project progress and manage project risk.
Essential Requirements:
Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
Strong planning experience on large Power or Infrastructure projects (Energy ideally)
Proven experience of both P6 and Microsoft Project to deliver large/complex engineering projects
Solid understanding of reporting cycles and managing programme delivery within an NEC contract
Desirable Requirements:
Experience of Earned Value Analysis
Experience of working on projects for National Grid and/or other large scale electricity generating companies/transmission companies.
