About the role:
Justteachers are working with a secondary school in the Spalding area who require a cover supervisor on a long-term basis. The school is a larger than average secondary school, with strong leadership, who are supportive and encourage career progression.
Hours - Full time
Pay - £120 to £150 per day
Contract - Temporary - 5 months
Key Responsibilities:
- To deliver pre-set learning and supervise whole classes during the absence of the main class
- The primary focus will be to maintain good order and to keep pupils on task by promoting good learner behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with the school’s behaviour management
- Cover supervisors will need to respond to questions and generally assist pupils to undertake set activities.
- Provide feedback on pupil’s achievement, progress, problems etc.
Pre-requisites:
- Be a qualified HTLA, Teacher, University Graduate or hold referenceable previous cover supervisor experience and GCSE level 4 in Maths and English or equivalent.
- Be able to supply at least 2 education/school-based references from the last two years.
- Be able to establish constructive relationships with learners and interact according to individual needs.
- Have an adaptable attitude and ability to flexibly move age range from one period to the next.
