Nursery Deputy Manager – Hersham, Surrey, KT12
Salary: £15.70 per hour / Up to £32,656 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: 40 hours over 4 days | Shifts between 7:30am–6:30pm
Contract: 16-month maternity cover with strong potential to become permanent

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Nursery Deputy Manager (Maternity Cover) to join our friendly nursery in Hersham, Surrey, KT12.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, supportive nursery where you'll play a key role in leading the team and delivering exceptional early years education. We're looking for a passionate and inspiring Deputy Manager who enjoys making a real difference, using in-the-moment planning, encouraging outdoor learning and outings, and celebrating every child's individual development. This is a 16-month maternity cover starting in September 2026, with a strong possibility of becoming a permanent position.

Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day management and smooth running of the nursery
- Deliver outstanding care and education in line with the EYFS
- Plan and implement engaging, child-led learning experiences
- Support children's learning, development and wellbeing
- Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Lead by example and support the wider nursery team
About You
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
- Previous Room Leader or Deputy Manager experience
- Good knowledge of the EYFS and child development
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Passionate about delivering outstanding childcare
- Eligible to work in the UK
