We are seeking a Residential Support Worker to join our residential team, based in Carmarthenshire. This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care within a residential and educational
setting, ensuring students’ holistic needs, well-being, and development are met. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will support students in building independence, confidence, and life skills across home, college, and community environments. The role also involves maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, promoting positive outcomes, and contributing to the overall quality of care and support within the residential provision.
Main Duties include:
- Support students’ holistic care, well-being, learning, and development in line with care plans and risk assessments
- Act as a key worker for designated students and contribute to their individual plans and outcomes
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and homely residential environment that promotes independence and life skills
- Support students with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and personal care when required
- Assist with learning activities and college sessions, working alongside tutors to support student progress
- Encourage participation in social, recreational, and community activities, including evenings and weekends
- Monitor, record, and report on student progress, well-being, and any incidents or safeguarding concerns.
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation and records, including reports and care notes
- Support medication management and attend health-related appointments where required
