Semi-Senior Accountant
We are currently seeking to recruit an exceptionally bright and highly motivated individual, who is studying towards ACCA or CIMA professional examinations, to join the Arkk Alliance team in the role of Semi Senior Accountant.
As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will play a central role in the continued success of The Arkk Alliance Ltd a fast-growing accountancy practice committed to positively enhancing businesses and lifestyles of ambitious individuals.
You will be a key point of contact for clients, you will work closely with and build long-lasting relationships with a wide range of ambitious clients. Through a variety of duties, you will oversee and manage the smooth and efficient delivery of work across more junior members of the team to deliver empowering, real time and relevant key financials and accountancy services, to ensure a seamless, professional and world class experience for our customers.
You will report to the Senior Accountant and work as part of the Accounting & Tax Team, in this Full-Time position, from our NEW Leamington Spa office.

In return for this exciting opportunity, we are looking for someone who;
- ACCA/CIMA part qualified or studier.
- 2 years minimum experience in Accountancy Practice.
- Experienced user in cloud accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero and Dext.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and professional individual, with a strong work ethic.
- A personable, empathetic, and upbeat personality who strives for service excellence.
- An excellent communicator (verbal & written).
- Passionate about financial control and reporting.

What would I be doing as a Semi-Senior Accountant?
- Develop, build, and maintain relationships for a portfolio of clients which will include regular contact to independently understand and support their needs.
- Oversee and review client’s day to day accounts prepared by the bookkeeping team.
- Timely and accurate preparation of accounts and corporation tax returns.
- Timely and accurate preparation of VAT returns.
- Timely and accurate preparation of management reports and information packs.
- Timely and accurate preparation of self-assessment tax returns.
- Company secretarial duties including filing confirmation statements.
- Advise clients on basic tax efficiency measures.
- Provide Supplier Payments services for your clients.
- Deal with queries relating to Customs & Excise, Inland Revenue and Companies House.
- Onboard new clients to the practice by setting them up on the systems and explaining our processes and requirements.
- Maintain the QuickBooks & Xero subscriptions and help train clients on these platforms.
- Support junior team members with queries and training.
- Raise relevant and coherent queries to assist with Senior and Management review.
- Support Seniors and Directors where required.
- Liaise with colleagues within your own and other departments and business functions within the wider Arkk Alliance service offering.
- Keep up to date on the latest tax and accounting legislation, by attending ARKK lunch and learns, using Croner-I and externally hosted development days.
Hours: 35 Hours per week (Mon to Thu 08:30 till 16:30 & Fri 08:30 till 14.00)
