Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
- Manage food production processes, including planning menus and portion control
- Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards
- Lead team management activities, including training new staff and maintaining team morale
- Organise daily kitchen operations, including stock control and ordering supplies
- Serve meals in a professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Assist with special event catering as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant environment
- Supervising experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Demonstrated expertise in food production, presentation, and service
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating as part of a team
