Fed up with being told to hit unrealistic call targets every day?
Do you prefer taking the time to properly understand a prospect, rather than working off a script?
Are you looking for a sales role where you’re trusted to deliver results – not constantly micromanaged?
This is a full-time, permanent Business Development Representative role, focused on generating new opportunities within the SaaS / Salesforce technology space.
Working pattern & location
You’ll be fully remote, based anywhere in the UK.
There may be occasional travel to meet prospects, but day-to-day, you’ll have the flexibility to manage your own time and workload.
What you can expect (salary & earnings)
You’ll be trusted to deliver results and rewarded properly when you do:
- Basic salary up to £45,000 depending on experience
- £55,000–£65,000 OTE, based on meetings booked
- Uncapped earning potential – no ceiling for high performers
- Clear, transparent targets set from the start
- No shifting goalposts or unrealistic expectations
What you’ll actually be doing
This isn’t a high-volume, “smash the phones” environment. You’ll take a more thoughtful, consultative approach to business development.
Your role will include:
- Researching target accounts and sectors before reaching out
- Looking into things like annual reports, industry trends, and market changes
- Identifying potential business challenges and opportunities
- Reaching out via email, LinkedIn, and telephone
- Speaking with decision-makers and holding meaningful conversations
- Listening carefully, asking the right questions, and building credibility
- Booking qualified meetings for senior sales leadership
- Using tools such as Salesforce, Sales Navigator, Apollo, Lusha (or similar)
- Building new relationships within larger organisations, particularly in sectors like education
- Managing your own pipeline and activity without constant supervision
You’ll be given the tools, insight, and autonomy to succeed – but not a script to read from.
What we’re looking for
This role suits someone who enjoys doing sales properly – not just going through the motions.
Ideally, you’ll:
- Have around 2–3+ years’ experience in a BDR / SDR or similar sales role
- Be comfortable selling into technology, SaaS, IT services, or a similar space
- Be confident on the phone, with strong communication and active listening skills
- Enjoy research-led, consultative outreach rather than high-volume calling
- Be self-motivated and comfortable working remotely
- Be happy being judged on outcomes rather than activity levels
It would be a bonus if you:
- Have experience selling into larger organisations or sectors like higher education
- Have used Salesforce or modern prospecting tools
A bit about the environment
If you’re looking for somewhere you won’t be micromanaged, this is it.
This is a business that:
- Trusts people to do their job
- Gives you freedom to approach sales in a way that works
- Supports you with tools, data, and real customer insight
- Values ideas, initiative, and independent thinking
You’ll be supported, not managed to death – and encouraged to grow within the business. There’s a clear path into a more senior sales role over time.
How to apply
If your CV isn’t perfectly up to date, don’t worry – send what you have.
