About the Role
Go Kids is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and confident Assistant Project Manager to join our management team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, leading staff teams and being part of a busy and varied childcare organisation.
Working alongside the Project Manager, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running and development of our services. You will oversee two of our services, provide leadership and support to staff teams, contribute to quality assurance and staff development, and manage a range of administrative and operational responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
This role would suit someone who is confident, organised and able to manage competing demands in a busy working environment.
You will need to be able to:
-
Lead, support and motivate staff teams.
-
Work confidently under pressure and remain calm when priorities change.
-
Manage several tasks and competing priorities effectively.
-
Make decisions, use your initiative and solve problems.
-
Communicate confidently and professionally with staff, families and colleagues.
-
Manage administrative tasks accurately and meet deadlines.
-
Work independently while also being a positive member of the wider management team.
-
Use Microsoft Word, Excel and other digital systems confidently.
-
Learn new software packages quickly – experience of iConnect would be advantageous, but full knowledge of the system is not essential.
-
Adapt to changing situations and take a positive, solution-focused approach.
We are looking for someone who doesn't need to know everything on day one, but who is willing to learn, ask questions, take responsibility and develop their skills.
About You
You may already have leadership or management experience, or you may be an experienced childcare/playwork professional who is ready to take the next step in your career.
You will be someone who enjoys supporting others, building positive relationships and finding solutions to problems.
Most importantly, you will be reliable, professional, approachable and confident, with the ability to keep things moving when the working day becomes busy.
About Go Kids
At Go Kids, we are committed to providing high-quality childcare and play experiences for children and creating a positive environment for our staff.
We believe in continuous improvement and in creating a service that is always learning, growing and innovating.
If you are looking for a varied role where no two days are quite the same, and where you can make a genuine contribution to the development of our services and staff teams, we would love to hear from you.
