Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, Experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring the safety and aesthetic appeal of our grounds. Duties
- Perform Garden maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy growth and visual appeal
- Operate various power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers efficiently and safely
- Use hand tools for planting, digging, and general grounds upkeep
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and repairs when necessary
- Conduct routine maintenance of equipment and tools to ensure optimal functioning
- Monitor grounds for hazards or safety issues and take appropriate corrective actions
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and meet quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in Garden maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is Expected.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to operating power tools and machinery such as excavators and irrigation systems
- Ability to handle hand tools safely and effectively
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in maintaining outdoor environments
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting, digging, and operating equipment over extended periods
- Valid relevant certifications or licences (e.g., forklift or excavator operation) are a plus
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to outdoor work environments

Pay: £550.00-£750.00 per week
