At Thorndale Family Centre we are passionate about people and see the unique potential of every individual. Offering accommodation for 34 families and 4 single females experiencing homelessness, our aim is to enable and support them in the challenges they face in their lives. The role of Maintenance Person is an essential part of keeping this effort moving.
Key Responsibilities:
Having multi trade experience, you will be able to identify and organise maintenance tasks for both yourself, and the Handy Person. Main routine tasks will include:

Ensuring void rooms are kept to a minimum with any necessary repairs identified and corrected within the set timeframes

Maintain accurate records of repairs and materials

Ensure periodic checks and tests of the fire detection and containment equipment are completed and monitored

Liaise with contractors and suppliers to achieve the most economical and successful outcomes

Clean and maintain any tools and equipment necessary
The Successful candidate (s) will be able to demonstrate:

A recognised trade qualification with some practical experience of working successfully in a similar maintenance/building/decorating job role

Willingness to learn and expand your skills

Ability to work unsupervised showing initiative with an awareness of health and safety requirements
